Liver perfusion project

Liver transplantation is currently the only curative treatment for patients with end-stage liver disease.
Using ex vivo perfusion technology, the liver project aims to:

establish a renewable source of organs
-
prevent graft loss from rejection
-
engineer ex vivo circuits to support critically ill patients with acute fulminant liver failure
