Lung transplantation is a life-saving measure for patients with end-stage lung disease.

However, organ shortage and organ rejection prevent transplantation from being a long-lasting cure for all patients in need.

In the lung project, we will use ex vivo perfusion technology to:

• recondition marginal quality donor lungs

• modulate the immunogenicity of donor lungs
